The Yard has great footing!

Just finished a very well organized, well attended two day clinic at the Montgomery's beautiful ranch, The Yard, in Hollister, CA. The most amazing footing I have seen at a private facility. With two days of rain, we didn't miss one session!

Super clinic in Texas

Just back from a great experience in Aubrey, TX at Valhalla Stables. The owners/operators of this lovely facility, Kathy Roeper & Rachel Morris, sure gave me the royal treatment! It was a pleasure to work with them and their enthusiastic riders. I was very impressed by an attentive audience and gung-ho kids who set jumps for me all day, listening and absorbing information.

Course at a Word Cup Qualifier sets the stage for Sonoma Horse Park Clinic

Just back from rainy NorCal to find a wet SoCal! We headed indoors at Sonoma Horse Park where Meredith Herman hosted a clinic inspired by the course at the Lyon, France Word Cup Qualifier. The first day the course was condensed to 2/3 of the arena, giving riders the chance to practice riding courses in tight spaces. On day two we used the entire arena putting an emphasis on more forward riding. Great turnout despite the rain. 39 riders in 2 days and lots of spectators. It's always a pleasure to work with these folks and Meredith always comes up with great themes for her clinics.

Portola Farms Clinic in Woodside, CA

Clinic with Jan

Phew! The marathon is over. 61 riders in two days at the clinic at Portola Farms, Woodside, CA, hosted by Jan Pearce. That said, Jan is a great trainer and host. The training and the solid basics her clients receive made my job easier considering the number of students. Students that have good attitudes and an eagerness to learn make my job a pleasure!

Thanksgiving Clinic in Northern California

Just returned from my annual Thanksgiving clinic at Kilham Farm in beautiful Nicasio, Ca. owned and operated by Elizabeth (Lumpy) Kilham. I always enjoy teaching here. Lumpy is a great host, and her clients are always fun to work with and eager to learn more.  She has done a great job with her people and it is refreshing to watch their progress each year.

It's refreshing to work with people who have the desire & the work ethic to really improve. Connie is doing a fabulous job with her clients. Her daughter, Hannah, rides beautifully as does Megan, her assistant rider/trainer.
